Le F14 TOMCAT Jolly Rogers rend hommage à l’un des plus beaux avions de chasse à réaction : Il s’agit d’un avion bi ! Biplace, il emporte un pilote et un Officier Système d’arme, Bimoteur, il est équipé à l’origine de 2 réacteurs Pratt et Whitney qui seront plus tard remplacés par 2 General Electric F110, Bi-dérive qui signe l’une des silhouette parmi les plus appréciées des amoureux d’aviation de chasse ! Il est équipé d’une voilure à géométrie variable, c’est à dire que la flèche de la voilure évolue avec la vitesse. C’est un avion embarqué sur les portes-avions de l’US NAVY.
Durant son exploitation opérationnelle, il est crédité de 4 victoires aériennes contre des Mig Libyens dans le golfe de syrte. L’avion fut également exploité par les iraniens qui revendiquent 151 victoires aériennes contre les irakiens.
Le filme TOP GUN se sert magnifiquement du F14 pour tourner des images qui auront suscité bien des vocations de pilotes de chasse !

The F14 TOMCAT Jolly Rogers pays tribute to one of the most beautiful jet fighters: It is a bi-plane! Two-seater, it carries a pilot and a Weapon System Officer, Twin-engine, it is originally equipped with 2 Pratt and Whitney reactors which will later be replaced by 2 General Electric F110, Bi-drift which signs one of the silhouette among the most popular among fighter aviation lovers! It is equipped with a variable geometry wing, that is to say that the deflection of the wing changes with speed. It is an aircraft embarked on the aircraft carriers of the US NAVY.
During its operational exploitation, it is credited with 4 aerial victories against Mig Libyans in the Gulf of Syrte. The plane was also operated by the Iranians who claim 151 air victories against the Iraqis.
