CORSAIR in the French Navy

The Vought F4U Corsair is an American fighter plane that entered service during World War II. CORSAIR was built to be an on-board aircraft carrier fighter, and quickly became an important asset for both ground attack and fighter missions. The French Navy was equipped with this magnificent aircraft in its F4-U7 version from 1952. The French CORSAIRs took part in all operations carried out by France until 1964. This was particularly the case in Indochina where they operated from the aircraft carriers Arromanches , Bois Belleau and La Fayette.
