An industrial epic
The design and construction of the Airbus A380 was in many ways a huge industrial success before unfortunately the low commercial success of the aircraft tarnished the image of this large bird.
Indeed, succeeding in the challenge of building such a device from different European sites required exceptional infrastructure work. Flying such a device in complete safety and passing the various tests necessary for its online operation are no less so.
Unfortunately, after a booming start, the operating difficulties experienced by airlines quickly dampened buyers’ enthusiasm. The global COVID crisis has only accelerated the decline and sometimes even the withdrawal from service of this extraordinary aircraft.
