MODEL F15 EAGLE
The model of the F15 EAGLE is available in several versions. We have selected the models that we prefer.
An old warrior
At the end of the Vietnam War, the US AIR FORCE made a bitter report. Its planes hardly compete against the very agile Russian IMGs and maintaining air superiority over hostile territory is very difficult. The study of a “pure” air superiority fighter was then launched. MCDONNEL DOUGLASS’s F15 wins the game. The first unit to be equipped with the F15 EAGLE is located in Langley within the 1st Tactical Fighter Wing.
The plane is very maneuverable and has a weapon system that has no equivalent at this time. It will be exported to a few countries very close to the United States: Japan, Korea, Saudi Arabia or even Israel. Its weapon system evolves with technology, passing from infrared missiles and semi-active electromagnetic electromagnetic, it is equipped at the end of the 80s with electromagnetic missiles “fire and forget” AMRAAM which will prove themselves in operations, in particular in Iraq.
A last version, called “Golden Eagle” is planned to equip the American National Guard until 2030.
